Since the early 90's, I have slowly evolved into numerous cartooning enterprises: self syndication, cartoons for various publications, children's vocabulary building cartoons for newspapers, cartoons for national publications, and birthday/special occasion cards, even got an award or two along the way. Over the years, my knowledge of cartooning is self-taught by trial and error--emphasis on "error." I think cartooning, along with most any endeavor, is like forking a firm grape...stab, stab, stab until just the right angle nails that slippery sucker. Occasionally, that "just right angle" eludes me completely. Maybe I was the first one to say, "You can't win them all." One of my regrets is not taking formal art classes in college. I couldn't see it then, but now know it would have given me one more perspective; can't have too many of those.

muddyclues.com is a very enjoyable and "just plain fun" project for me. Self-publishing a muddyclues book down the road is something I am looking forward to, but for now, this website is a fun focus. New cartoon storylines will be published on this web site around the first of each month, so please come on back. If you like muddyclues cartoons and would like them on a regular monthly basis, ask about my low cost monthly subscription. CD's are also available for previously published storylines.

Muddy "the toad" flowed from my pen sometime in the 90's. I've given him a few bit parts, but no starring roles until now; he says he's ready and is very convincing. So, at this time, Muddy would like to say a few words about himself and where (he thinks) he came from. Let's give him a "starring role" welcome...thank you, thank you very much.
